Rules and Regulations

Here at SnapShot, we do our best to ensure that the atmosphere surrounding our site is a comfortable and pleasant experience for everyone. As such, we kindly ask you to refrain from posting offensive or provocative content. We've summarized a list of ground rules below, please take a few moments to read them before continuing to use this site.

SnapShot Ground Rules

• Admins reserve the right to remove any comment or posted that has been deemed offensive or inappropriate.
• Please do not post any nude or other such excessively graphic/provocative photos.
• Visitors are encouraged to discuss photography and obtain constructive feedback from other users. Flaming, however, is not allowed.
• Members must submit their own ORIGINAL work and include the proper identifiers, name, camera used, etc., as reference.
• In the event a member publishes work that is not theirs, unless granted permission by the original artist and properly noted in the submission, the post will be removed.
• Please do not try to swing voting in your favor, keep things fair for everyone.
• Members are encouraged to share links to their portfolios at will or upon request, however, please do not take this as an opportunity to promote a business or the link will be removed.
• Members are welcome to post links to any photography events, either online or in-person events. Inappropriate links will be removed.
• Double posting a comment by accident is allowed. Spamming the comment section is not and will get your account temporarily locked for 24hrs.
• For your safety, please do not post highly sensitive information.
• Repeat offenders will be banned!

Regulations for Submissions

Now onto submissions! We are currently taking submissions for 3 categories and they are: Landscapes, Macro Photography, and Vintage. Photographs must be submitted before the due date listed to be considered for our annual photography contest. The winners will have their submissions posted in the Contest Winners section of this site. Here are a few considerations to note for your submission:

• The submitted photograph must fit the category it was submitted in. If you believe you submitted a photo in the wrong category, email us and let us know!
• Members may submit up to 3 photos in total in any given category.
• As per the rules mentioned above, again, no nude or otherwise excessively graphic/provocative photos will be accepted.
• The file size must be 4MB or less and must be of type JPG or PNG.
• Please submit your name (you may omit your last name for privacy, if you wish), the title of your submission, and the equipment used.
